Cancellation of the 2021 RPNS7s
We regret to announce the cancellation of the 2021 Rosslyn Park HSBC National Schools 7s including the postponed summer event.
Although the news will not come as a surprise to many, please be assured that we have done our utmost to stage a tournament. Also, we want to thank you for all the wonderful and kind messages of support over the last year.
We are most disappointed for the participants who will now have missed two years of the annual event. May we just say to those school leavers that we wish you well in your future rugby and sporting endeavours.
Our close liaison with England Rugby Football Schools Union and the RFU in the last 6 months has been very positive. Their guidance has helped us ensure we maintain alignment with the schools sector and wider game. All three organisations look forward to continuing this partnership and are grateful to PADSIS, HMC, IAPS and individual schools who have also provided a great sounding board for us.
Entry fee refund/rollover
As previously announced, all entry fees for the 2021 event can be refunded to your school. Alternatively, these can be rolled over to the 2022 event.
2022 tournament registration
We will be opening our registration for the 2022 tournament on 19th April 2021 and even if you registered for the 2021 event, please re-register online as we need to know your intent to participate in the 2022 tournament.
If a school decides to roll its entry fee over, there is no payment required; however, as stated, we still need you to register again please.
Tournament dates for 2022 will be Monday 28th March to Friday 1st April.
We will be in touch again nearer to the time with further details and a reminder to enter.
We have made the registration process faster so please do secure your place and we will be in regular contact with those who have queries about the event and/or payments.
Lastly, we would like to thank all the schools which participated in last week’s virtual tournament which, although not the real thing, was a great success.
We will try to ensure that 2022 is our best tournament yet and, in the meantime, please stay active and healthy. We can’t wait to see you then!
