Rhino Rugby come on board as partner of National Schools Sevens

21 Feb 2012

Rhino Rugby introduces: Rhino Collision King & Rhino-Turf

Rhino Rugby, whose involvement in the National Schools Sevens goes back over 30 years have agreed to become a Partner of the 2012 event. The initiative is a joint one between Rhino’s mainstream equipment business and their new Rhino-Turf artificial turf brand.

The equipment side will primarily be using their exhibition space at the tournament to showcase their groundbreaking new product, the Rhino Collision King, which encourages correct body position and technique at that most critical part of the modern game, the breakdown. Invented by Richie Gray in the Scottish Borders, the machine is relevant for both the Sevens and XV a side game, and for backs in addition to forwards.

See: www.rhinorugby.com/store/rhino-collision-king. The Collision King, both senior and junior versions of which will be on display at Rhino’s exhibition area, won the Technical Innovation Award at the 2011 Rugby Expo at Twickenham.

Rhino-Turf will have a sample training area laid out during the tournament alongside the Rhino equipment exhibition to display their market leading products for multi-sport use. Following a recent agreement between the IRB and FIFA concerning a joint specification artificial turf surface on which both games can be played, use of such surfaces for rugby full games and training is set to expand exponentially on a global basis.

Rhino-Turf, already vastly experienced in supplying surfaces for soccer, tennis and hockey, is at the forefront of that process and schools which have multi-sport requirements in particular can avail themselves of the opportunity to discuss their needs at the tournament with Managing Director Bryn Lee, one of Europe’s foremost authorities in this product area.
