Blundell’s School sealed two days of excellent performances with a 24-20 win over St Peter’s School, York to be crowned winners of the Vase.
Blundell’s Troy Sixton was also a fitting winner of the Akuma Player of the Tournament Award.
Over the 2 days of the competition, Blundell’s were consistently excellent. They overcame a strong Cheltenham College side in the quarter final groups and came from behind against Stowe in the semi final pool, scoring some outstanding tries.
Today also saw the conclusion of the Bowl for the teams who lost out in Wednesday night’s knockout games. Eaton College took the title with a 31-17 victory over Kingswood.
The early rounds of the Cup competition (U18 Boys) got under way along with the U14 tournament. Both will conclude with the latter stages being held tomorrow.
Tomorrow, we also have the Girls Tournament, Girls AASE Tournament and the Prep School Tournament, which together should make for a fantastic day of rugby.
You can see all the action on the showcase pitch with our live stream from 10am with commentary from Nick Heath and Dave Rogers.
