Dear Parents, Players and Schools,
Ahead of the tournament starting on Monday, we are aware of recent concerns regarding meningitis cases in the UK.
We would like to reassure you that we have been in direct contact with the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), whose current guidance is that no additional restrictions are required as risks are deemed low, and the tournament will proceed as planned.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and follow all UKHSA advice. Should guidance change, we will update schools accordingly.
As a precaution, we ask that:
- Anyone who is unwell does not attend
- Players and staff remain vigilant for players with possible symptoms and seek medical advice if required
Our medical provision, delivered in partnership with Meliora Medical and led by Dr Juan Rosales (Consultant in Emergency Medicine), includes a full team of doctors, nurses, physios and paramedics, all fully briefed on appropriate procedures.
The safety and wellbeing of all participants and spectators remains our priority.
